Our Story
Mr. Edison is a modern supper club from renowned restaurateur Jeffrey Chodorow, set within Philadelphia’s landmark hotel, The Bellevue.
The restaurant takes its name and inspiration from Thomas Edison, whose electrification of The Bellevue more than a century ago transformed how the city spent its evenings – stretching nights beyond daylight and making the hotel a true gathering place for Philadelphia. Mr. Edison carries that legacy forward with a thoughtfully curated dining experience, live music, attentive service, and a seasonal menu, offering a contemporary take on the art of the evening.
We ask our guests to embrace a dress code that is described as “upscale fashionable.” Please refrain from gym wear, beach wear, or athletic wear, including but not limited to flip flops, sweatshirts, or sweatpants, exposed undergarments or overly revealing, torn or distressed attire. Access to Mr. Edison is at the discretion of the management team which reserves the right to refuse entry to guests who are not appropriately dressed.
